ABOUT US
Together for God’s Glory.
Every Member A Minister
More Christians, Better Christians, in authentic community for the good of the region and the glory of God.
Our Mission: To cultivate a comprehensive word and deed ministry that promotes learning among God’s people as an obedient response to His word. This touches the world with the good news of Jesus Christ and the salvation He offers. Further, we are committed to the interpersonal caring and sharing of God’s people as an outgrowth of our fellowship with God.
A Commitment to Biblical Exposition: We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word, the authoritative and inerrant rule of faith and practice for Christians. We are committed to equipping Christians, through the teaching and preaching of God’s Word, to follow Christ in every area of life.
A Commitment to Prayer: We believe that God desires His people to pray and that He hears and answers prayer Matthew 7:7-11; James 5:13-18. The ministries and activities of this church will be characterized by a reliance on prayer in their conception, planning and execution.
A Commitment to Ministry: We believe that the primary responsibility of the Senior Pastor, Associate Pastors, and teachers in this church is to “prepare God’s people for works of service” Ephesians 4:12.
A Commitment to Biblical Stewardship: We believe that money is a trust from God and must be earned and managed according to His purposes for finances. Our financial obedience demonstrates our daily dependence upon God Duet. 8:18; Proverbs 3:9-10; Ephesians 3:20.
Meet Our Pastoral Staff
Dr. Dan Williams
Senior Pastor
The Honorable Reverend Dr. Dan Williams serves as Senior Pastor of New Life In Christ Fellowship in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. He began his undergraduate studies at the former West Chester State College (now West Chester University) and completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Geneva College through the Center for Urban Theological Studies. He went on to earn both his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Biblical Theological Seminary, where he later became the first African American to serve on the Board of Trustees.
Dr. Williams has ministered nationally and internationally, with a ministry marked by the integration of Word and deed—Christ-centered and culturally sensitive. An accomplished bassist, he has performed with a variety of artists including Natalie Cole, Sister Sledge, and Marion Williams, and has played at Carnegie Hall, the Philadelphia Academy of Music, and the Grand Ole Opry.
A native of West Philadelphia, Dr. Williams resides in Parkesburg with his wife, Baleria. They are the proud parents of three adult children and the blessed grandparents of three grandchildren. Since 2018, Dr. Williams has also served as State Representative for Pennsylvania’s 74th District, and he is honored to Chair the PA House Human Services Committee for the 2025–2026 legislative session.
Dr. Clarence Smith
Associate Pastor
Dr. Clarence Smith serves as Associate Pastor of New Life In Christ Fellowship in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. A native of Chester, PA, he grew up as a member of Shiloh Baptist Church before answering God’s call to ministry.
Dr. Smith began his studies at Temple University and went on to complete a Bachelor of Science in Bible, a Master’s Degree in Leadership Studies, and a Doctor of Ministry in Strategic Leadership at Lancaster Bible College.
After surrendering his life to Jesus Christ, Dr. Smith was licensed to preach in March 2001 and ordained in February 2006 under the mentorship of Dr. Dan K. Williams. Over the years, he has faithfully served in many areas of ministry, including Men’s Ministries, Christian Life Development, Treasury Ministry, Leadership Training, teaching, and preaching. He is deeply passionate about helping others grow, mature, and realize their full potential in Christ. One of his guiding scriptures is John 15:5: “I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
Dr. Smith and his wife, Denise, make their home in Coatesville. They are the proud parents of three children—Christina, Clarence III, and Dinaye—and the blessed grandparents of Isabella and Noah.
Robert Marshall
Associate Pastor
Pastor Rob Marshall serves as Associate Pastor of New Life In Christ Fellowship in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. He provides pastoral leadership for the Outreach Ministry, the church’s missional engagement ministry, and helped establish the Impact Zone (formerly the Garden Ministry), New Life’s children’s church.
Called to ministry while a student at Biblical Theological Seminary, Pastor Marshall preached his initial sermon on April 24, 2014, and was licensed that same day by Dr. Dan K. Williams. He was ordained as a Pastor in April 2019, following his earlier ordination as a Deacon in 2005. His ministry emphasizes not only studying and preaching the Word of God, but also living it daily in practical and faithful ways.
In addition to his pastoral ministry, Pastor Marshall serves as Director of Executive Account Management at Communications Test Design, Inc. (CTDI), a global engineering, repair, and logistics company. He has also held senior leadership roles in the Business Process Outsourcing industry, and is the Founder and CEO of Citizens Who S.EE., a nonprofit supporting children with special education needs. From 2015 to 2019, he also served on the Coatesville Area School District Board of Education.
Pastor Marshall earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Widener University and his Master of Divinity from Biblical Theological Seminary, with a concentration in Urban Missional Theology. He and his wife, Ava, were married in July 2010 and reside in Coatesville. They are the proud parents of three children—Robby, Davis (married to Mar), and Chelsey—and the blessed grandparents of three grandsons.
